“SLAM-A-THON”

SLAM! Radio’s Second Annual Fundraiser — December 3rd, 2024

The “SLAM-A-THON” Annual Fundraiser, presented by the SLAM! Foundation & SLAM! Radio, aims to raise $250,000 to support SLAM! Radio, the first and only SiriusXM satellite radio station run by high school students. The Fundraiser is being held on December 3rd, 2024 live on SLAM! Radio (SiriusXM 145). This 24-hour telethon-style fundraising event will feature celebrity interviews, sports talk, musical performances, and more! The event will be hosted by SLAM! Radio’s very own Larry “The Amigo” Milian, along with our very talented SLAM! Radio students.

We are asking for direct donations to the SLAM Foundation. We are a 501(c)3, non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible. Help us maximize donations through corporate matching if your employer offers this perk. In addition to financial contributions, we are accepting in-kind donations of goods and services to be auctioned to raise funds.

How You Can Help

  • Direct donations to the SLAM! Foundation. All donations are tax-deductible and will go directly toward supporting SLAM! Radio. High-dollar donations will receive special mention during SLAM! Radio’s “SLAM-A-THON” broadcast and receive special prizes as a thank you for your support.

  • Offer to provide “matching funds” up to a certain amount to encourage others to donate.

  • In-kind donations of goods and services to be auctioned to raise funds.

  • Assistance in publicizing the fundraiser.

Donation Tiers

  • $500 – A “thank you” acknowledgement during the broadcast by the host.

  • $1,000 – A 15-second acknowledgement announcement during the broadcast by a SLAM Radio student.

  • $2,500 – A “sponsored segment” in which you can join the show (either in-person or over the phone/Zoom) for 5 minutes to talk with the hosts and students.

  • $5,000 – A “sponsored segment” in which you can join the broadcast (either in-person or over the phone/Zoom) for 15 minutes and talk with the hosts and students.

  • $10,000 – A “sponsored segment” in which you can join the broadcast (either in-person or over the phone/Zoom) for 30 minutes and talk with the hosts and students.

  • $25,000 – Hosting a basketball game at the state-of-the-art SLAM Miami gym with a catered lunch, plus a 30-minute sponsored segment during the broadcast.

  • $50,000 – “Presented by” credit for the telethon (“SLAM-A-THON Presented By [YOU]”) and a 30-minute sponsored segment in which you can join the broadcast (either in-person or over the phone/Zoom) to talk with the hosts and students.

    **We are also looking for sponsors who wish to donate in-kind goods and services or “matching funds” that we can offer to the public to obtain additional donations.
